Mesotherapy – basic principles and clinical practice

Over the past forty years, the treatment of many diseases using mesotherapy has been a controversial topic, both for the treatment of pain but also for facial rejuvenation and liposuction of adipose tissue.
Although controversial, these techniques have evolved significantly, and in recent years, patient demand has grown accordingly. When you feel younger, it’s natural to want to look younger.

Alessio Redaelli and Marcelo Bigetti are senior members of the Faculty of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, which I have directed for about forty years. I know them very well and respect their approach to always remaining as scientific as possible. This work is therefore more than welcome, knowing that they are capable of finding the right compromise and scientific evidence even in a controversial topic like mesotherapy.

It’s an excellent, readable, and comprehensive text, very practical—as is Professor Redaelli’s custom—and with excellent illustrations to help you understand the different techniques. In my opinion, this text has allowed the authors to connect science to a field where, in some contexts, it often remains an art.
